I set sail for a couple of days trying to get away from all the ever going hectic schedules.

It doesn't really sound like a fun holiday trip, but being on the ship itself was simply amazing. Gazing the panoramic view of the sea, was a priceless moment. Somehow it has made me realised how much we all need to slow down in life and have our very own private moments alone.

WASHINGTON - Americans elected Democrat Barack Obama as their president Tuesday, in a transformational election which will reshape US politics and reposition the United States on the world stage.

Obama, 47, will be inaugurated the 44th US president on January 20, 2009, and inherit an economy mired in the worst financial crisis since the 1930s, two wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and a nuclear showdown with Iran.

Television networks projected his victory over Republican John McCain after Senator Obama solidified traditional Democratic states and cut deep into the Republican territory which his rival needed to control to win the White House.

Obama's historic inauguration will complete a stunning ascent to the pinnacle of US and global politics from national obscurity just four years ago and close an eight year era of turbulence under President George W. Bush.

He will take office with Democrats holding a monopoly in power in Washington, after an epochal election which sparked a rare generational and political realignment and finally snuffed out an era of Republican control.

Obama is promising to renew bruised ties with US allies, and to engage some of the most fierce US foes like Iran and North Korea.

He has vowed to pass tackle climate change and provide health care to all Americans.

His presidency also marks a stunning cultural shift, with Obama, the son of Kenyan father and white mother from Kansas, the first African American president of a nation still riven by racial divides.

When he launched his campaign on a chilly day in Illinois in February 2007, Obama forged a mantra of change which powered him throughout the longest, most costly US presidential campaign in history.

With a stunning grassroots political movement, powered by massive multi-million dollar fundraising, Obama first beat Hillary Clinton, and the Democratic Party's then preeminent political machine.

Obama strode towards victory on Tuesday by capturing the states of Pennsylvania, the key battleground which McCain needed to win to keep his long-shot hopes of victory alive.

In a sweet moment for Democrats, he also seized the midwestern battleground of Ohio and captured New Mexico and Iowa, two states won by Bush in 2004 to close out McCain's possible route towards the White House.

Obama had led national and battleground polls and had capitalized on the fear of Americans pitched into the deep financial crisis, especially as he appeared to be presidential in a string of debates.

McCain had argued that Obama was too inexperienced to be US commander in chief and would pursue "socialist" redistribution policies that would leave the economy mired in recession.

McCain, 72, an Arizona senator, would have been the oldest man ever inaugurated for a first term in the White House. - AFP/vm

Fernando Alonso first victory after nearly a year.

The world's first F1 night race has just ended in less than 2 hours after it started, with the least favourite, Fernando Alonso snatching away the winning trohpy.

The superb 309.087 km street race competition which was held in Singapore's finance hub and shopping district , proves to be one of the most exciting sporting event ever held in Asia.

Acute turnings, narrow street circuit, unpredictable weather, hot humid temperature and powerful glaring spotlights, made this racing event more challenging for the drivers.

However, it was a disastrous night for Team Ferrari when Felipe Massa, who started first in the line-up and was tipped to win this race, ended up in the 13th place. The pit crew made a complete blunder at the pit stop, when they failed to get the fuelling hose off the car as Massa speeds away. The hardest hit for Team Ferrari when Kimi Raikkonen crashed into the concrete barrier with only 4 laps to go.

Team Ferrari crew stumbling incident at the pit stop

All time favourite, UK's Lewis Hamilton, was the most consistant in performance throughout the race. Started 2nd in the GP pole, he maintained his focus to finally finished in the 3rd spot after the 61 laps, securing 84 points behind Felipe Massa with 77 points and currently the championship leader.

Earlier in the race, Alonso's team partner, Nelson Piquet of Renault, also suffered disappointment when he crashed his machine into the barriers just after a few laps.

Next Grand Prix racing will be held in Nakahinata, Japan on 12 October 2008.

Sometimes, little things in life that would make great difference to others.

A Message by George Carlin:

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways , but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things.

We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete...

Remember, spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.

Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.

Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.

Remember, to say, 'I love you' to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.

Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.

Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The above was written by a comedian, George Carlin, who has passed on recently. He wrote something so very eloquent...and so very appropriate.

Good girls go to heaven, Bad girls go everywhere...

A train hits a bus filled with Catholic school girls and they all perish. They are in heaven trying to enter the pearly gates when St. Peter asks the first girl, "Tiffany, have you ever had any contact with a male organ?"

She giggles and shyly replies, "Well, I once touched the head of one with the tip of my finger." Peter says, "Okay, dip the tip of your finger in the Holy Water and pass through the gate."

St. Peter asks the next girl the same question, Jennifer, have you ever had any contact with a male organ? The girl is a little reluctant but replies, "Well, once I fondled and stroked one." St. Peter says, "Okay, dip your whole hand in the Holy Water and pass through the gate. All of a sudden, there is a lot of commotion in the line of girls.

One girl is pushing her way to the front of the line. When she reaches the front, St. Peter says, "Reeva, What seems to be the rush?" The girl replies, "If I I’m going to have to gargle that Holy Water, I want to do it before Jessica sticks her ass in it."

And now this!?

Wife auctions evidence of husband's affair on Internet

SYDNEY (AFP) - - An Australian woman has taken revenge on her cheating husband by auctioning his mistress's "huge" panties and his "size small" condom packet on eBay.

The seller, named only as Anna from Queensland state, says next in line for auction will probably be her husband's Harley Davidson motorcycle "at a start price of 99 cents and, of course, with no reserve!"

A photograph shows the lacy black underpants, described as "size humongous" and the "size small" condom wrapper, which the woman found in her bed after her husband's alleged affair with a woman named Kylie.

Anna says of the panties: "They are so huge I thought they may make someone a nice shawl or, even better, something for Halloween perhaps."

She describes how she returned home early from work after her "soon to be ex-husband" of 22 years mistakenly sent her a romantic text message meant for the other woman, to find him discouraging her from entering their bedroom.

In the room she found the empty condom wrapper under his pillow and "The Tart's panties at the foot of the bed".

The listing was initially taken down by eBay because of its policy of refusing to sell secondhand underwear, spokeswoman Inessa Jackson told Brisbane's Courier Mail.

"We let her know about the policy and instead she's now selling a photograph of the offending knickers," Jackson said.

"eBay does connect colourful buyers with colourful sellers and I wouldn't be surprised if someone did buy these items, though I couldn't speculate on who would buy them or why.

"This is obviously very therapeutic for this woman and it must be a great channel for her views on cheating and the sanctity of marriage."

The photograph, which had a starting price of just 69 US cents, down from the original 99 cents asked for the actual items, had received 47 bids by Thursday, with the top offer standing at 127.50 US dollars with four days to go.

The listing, along with the wife's story, has been added to eBay Australia's Best of eBay site at http://bestof.ebay.com.au/.

Moral of the story : Check and make sure you don't send the wrong text message to your wife!!

When we see the oil price surging, many of us thought that the world is facing oil shortage. Can this be true?

Infact, the world is not facing any shortage of oil at all! OPEC says, the current production is still sufficient and there is no neccessity to increase the current output. But if the world persist them, the price is still unlikely to fall.

What may be the crucial factors that has contributed to this crisis. Speculations?

A theory received recently could be a similar anology to this current situation.

Quote:

A man eats two eggs each morning for breakfast. When he goes to the grocery store he pays 60 cents a dozen. Since a dozen eggs won't last a week he normally buys two dozens at a time. One day while buying eggs he notices that the price has risen to 72 cents. The next time he buys groceries, eggs are 76 cents a dozen.

When asked to explain the price of eggs the store owner says, 'The price has gone up and I have to raise my price accordingly'.

This store buys 100 dozen eggs a day. He checked around for a better price and all the distributors have raised their prices.

The distributors have begun to buy from the huge egg farms. The small egg farms have been driven out of business. The huge egg farms sell 100,000 dozen eggs a day to distributors. With no competition, they can set the price as they see fit. The distributors then have to raise their prices to the grocery stores. And on and on and on.

As the man kept buying eggs the price kept going up. He saw the big egg trucks delivering 100 dozen eggs each day. Nothing changed there. He checked out the huge egg farms and found they were selling 100,000 dozen eggs to the distributors daily.

Nothing had changed but the price of eggs.

Then week before Thanksgiving the price of eggs shot up to $1.00 a dozen.

Again he asked the grocery owner why and was told, 'Cakes and baking for the holiday'. The huge egg farmers know there will be a lot of baking going on and more eggs will be used. Hence, the price of eggs goes up.

Expect the same thing at Christmas and other times when family cooking, baking, etc. happen.

This pattern continues until the price of eggs is 2.00 a dozen. The man says, 'There must be something we can do about the price of eggs'.

He starts talking to all the people in his town and they decide to stop buying eggs. This didn't work because everyone needed eggs.

Finally, the man suggested only buying what you need. He ate 2 eggs a day. On the way home from work he would stop at the grocery and buy two eggs. Everyone in town started buying 2 or 3 eggs a day.

The grocery store owner began complaining that he had too many eggs in his cooler. He told the distributor that he didn't need any eggs. Maybe wouldn't need any all week.

The distributor had eggs piling up at his warehouse. He told the huge egg farms that he didn't have any room for eggs would not need any for at least two weeks.

At the egg farm, the chickens just kept on laying eggs. To relieve the pressure, the huge egg farm told the distributor that they could buy the eggs at a lower price.

The distributor said, 'I don't have the room for the eggs even if they were free'. The distributor told the grocery store owner that he would lower the price of the eggs if the store would start buying again.

The grocery store owner said, 'I don't have room for more eggs. The customers are only buying 2 or 3 eggs at a time. Now if you were to drop the price of eggs back down to the original price, the customers would start buying by the dozen again'.

The distributors sent that proposal to the huge egg farmers but the egg farmers liked the price they were getting for their eggs but, those chickens just kept on laying. Finally, the egg farmers lowered the price of their eggs. But only a few cents.

The customers still bought 2 or 3 eggs at a time. They said, 'when the price of eggs gets down to where it was before, we will start buying by the dozen.'

Slowly the price of eggs started dropping. The distributors had to slash their prices to make room for the eggs coming from the egg farmers.

The egg farmers cut their prices because the distributors wouldn't buy at a higher price than they were selling eggs for.

Anyway, they had full warehouses and wouldn't need eggs for quite a while. And those chickens kept on laying.

Eventually, the egg farmers cut their prices because they were throwing away eggs they couldn't sell.

The distributors started buying again because the eggs were priced to where the stores could afford to sell them at the lower price.

And the customers starting buying by the dozen again.

Now, transpose this analogy to the gasoline industry.

What if everyone only bought $10.00 worth of gas each time they pulled to the pump? The dealer's tanks would stay semi full all the time. The dealers wouldn't have room for the gas coming from the huge tank farms.

The tank farms wouldn't have room for the gas coming from the refining plants. And the refining plants wouldn't have room for the oil being off loaded from the huge tankers coming from the oil fields.

Just $10.00 each time you buy gas. Don't fill it up. You may have to stop for gas twice a week but, the price should come down.

Think about it.

End quote.

Do you find this logic?

So if this theory is true, then we may have the chance to control and bring back the world to where it was.

After 44 years, Spain created a phenomenon, beating the mighty Germans, 1-0 to emerge as the champion of Europe.

The game was magnificently superb from the start till the end, but only to settle with a goal by Torres hitting the net in the 33min of the first half. Only then, Germany was awaken from the slumber and menacingly trying to find an equalizer but to no avail.

Spain was the better side and they ought to win the title. Germany has to be contented to settle as the runner-up after failing to live up to expectation.

It certainly was a 'beautiful game'.

England legendary superstar, Gary Lineker, also made his comment earlier in this tournament, that he has no doubt that the Spaniards will march into the final and sealing it with a victory.

Germany, the least favourites tonight, but their willpower to never surrender may put tonight's result at 50-50. Germany has also surprises of their own and it could turn their underdog status into their advantage.

Looking at both teams past performances, Spain has what it takes to be the champion. But history track records favoured Germany winnings in most of their meetings.

I hope tonight's will be a superb game to watch and so be the best team wins!

Adios.

The fiesta has now reached the semi-final rounds, with Germany against Turkey and Russia facing Spain.

At the Quarter-finals, we have seen how the World Champion, Italy beaten by Spain. We have witnessed the Russian edged out the Dutch. We have looked how the mighty Germans silenced the fanciful Portugal and we have accepted that Turkey is still a strong force to reckon with after humbling the Croatians.

But it's really not about the semi-final matches anymore now. At this stage, football enthusiasts, all over the world, are more thrilled to prognasticate the 2 teams to be in the final.

I don't know, but my gut says, it's the Russians and the Germans to play the final, OR either one of them, at least.

Despite all the controversies heard about her films in Malaysia, her determination to produce creative scripts, has made her one of my favourite film director of all time.

After much publicity made in the local media, I got the chance to view this simple yet impressive commercial clip about the relationship between a father and his daughter.

Another beautiful TV commercial I've seen, was by a car manufacturer. It has a similar story plot which I had to control my tears from falling while watching it. It reminds me of my childhood days with dad.

ps: Abah, you are always on my mind.

While Spain will meet Italy in the Q-final match, Germany is facing Portugal. Both matches are equally exciting.

All punts are favouring Portugal this time round, since Germany has not been very impressive so far. By chance, the Germans managed to scrape into the quarter finals only after beating Austria by a goal.

On the other hand, Portugal has been very outstanding against Turkey & Czech but flung deliberately against host team, Switzerland 2-0.

Could it be a mismatch somewhere on the pitch or maybe a battle plan strategy made up by Portugal to sway enemy's attention towards it's internal strength.

But always be frightful with the mighty Germans. They normally started off slow but ends up in the final. They have proven in the last World Cup and I'm sure they are able to create upsets once again.

Meanwhile, let's dance to the Euro2008 anthem!

I guess it's pretty accurate, since most of my friends, who did the test agreed that it described their internal characteristic pretty well. (a) 4 (b) 2 (c) 3 (d) 5 (e) 6 (f) 1

Now add up the total number of points.

(My points are : 4 + 4 + 2 + 6 + 4 + 4 + 2 + 7 + 6 + 1 = 40)

OVER 60 POINTS :
Others see you as someone they should "handle with care." You're seen
as vain, self-centered, and who is extremely dominant. Others may
admire you, wishing they could be more like you, but don't always trust
you, hesitating to become too deeply involved with you.

51 TO 60 POINTS :
Others see you as an exciting, highly volatile, rather impulsive
personality; a natural leader, who's quick to make decisions, though
not always the right ones. They see you as bold and adventuresome,
someone who will try anything once; someone who takes chances and
enjoys an adventure. They enjoy being in your company because of the
excitement you radiate.

41 TO 50 POINTS :
Others see you as fresh, lively, charming, amusing, practical, and
always interesting; someone who's constantly in the center of
attention, but sufficiently well-balanced not to let it go to their
head. They also see you as kind, considerate, and understanding;
someone who'll always cheer them up and help them out.

31 TO 40 POINTS :
Others see you as sensible, cautious, careful & practical. They
see you as clever, gifted, or talented, but modest. Not a person who
makes friends too quickly or easily, but someone who's extremely loyal
to friends you do make and who expect the same loyalty in return.
Those who really get to know you realize it takes a lot to shake your
trust in your friends, but equally that it takes you a long time to get
over if that trust is ever broken. (True!!!)

21 TO 30 POINTS:
Your friends see you as painstaking and fussy. They see you as very
cautious, extremely careful, a slow and steady plodder. It would
really surprise them if you ever did something impulsively or on the
spur of the moment, expecting you to examine everything carefully from
every an gle and the n, usually decide against it. They think this
reaction is caused partly by your careful nature.

UNDER 21 POINTS :
People think you are shy, nervous, and indecisive, someone who needs
looking after, who always wants someone else to make the decisions
& who doesn't want to get involved with anyone or anything! They
see you as a worrier who always sees problems that don't exist. Some
peopl e think you' re boring. Only those who know you well know that
you aren't.

How much you got yours?

I have to shift gear to speed mode where everything has to be doubly-fast! Though, it was an energy-draining week, but I have to admit that most tasks were well performed with minimum hurdles to overcome. Overall, I'm completely satisfied with things are.

Got to meet some new clients from Jurong Corp last Tuesday . We were introduced to some of their new projects. We will be starting a Business Park project for One-North. Since I was already involved doing the simulation of the Master Plan a few years back, I am really looking forward to continue my involvement further.

Biopolis: One-North, Singapore.

It was a great introduction with the good people from Jurong Corp. I had the chance to introduce my firm, Zuetech, to them and they were quite impressed with projects that we had undertook. I hope that could instill some level of confidence in them before we move on to the next level.

Wednesday was doing site visits during most of the day. Went to Tan Tock Seng Hospital to do some site checkings for the new escalator works at the basement level.

The escalator works at the basement level of Tan Tock Seng Hospital

Minor issues cropped up, but the men were quick to find solutions before the RI inspections next week. So, well done boys!

Thursday was in office for a while. Finishing stack of workloads which had to be postponed for the past few days. Clearing off emails and reverting necessary ones.

Yvonne called me on the phone later in the afternoon. She planned to visit Tai Yuan Heights for her new reconstruction project. So met up with her later in the evening to discuss some technical matters.

Made a trip later in the afternoon to Tai Yuan again for site measurement. It was drizzling before we had the chance to tour the site. But managed to make a thorough checks in the later part, although we caught ourselves a little wet.

Then came Friday. It was supposed to be the start of the weekend and fit for chilling out, but things seems not to be slowing down any moment. Meeting already started at 10am. I had to do project briefing to the builders and engineers to get them prepared for the upcoming inspections for the hospital works. Some outstanding works still in progress. So they have about a week to rectifiy things and adjust to the schedule.

Saturday made a trip back to office to finish up building plans for Yvonne. We were hoping to submit by the end of the day. Unfortunately, some design issues cropped up. Accuracy and precision to each details were commented.

So, after spending the whole afternoon amending the design, she finally aborted the process. I believed she wasn't very pleased with the outcome and I wasn't too. But then, it was a bit too late to launch the submission. So we have do it after this weekend.

I can anticipate that I'll be quite occupied next week. We'll be at JTC Summit setting up office for the drafting team. Got an email from client yesterday, requesting for their resumes. I hope Shawn should be able to get a few guys on board by now.

Really hope the coming week will be much easier for us. I don't want to miss the movie outing with the guys later this Friday.

But to create a space into a trap, is another thing.

A snap shot that I took while hunting for a bargain in a mega store here in Singapore.

Fireman Access Panel or A Booby Trap??

	An actual booby trap

How a booby trap actually works

1) Defination of a booby trap:

In warfare, a booby trap is an anti-personnel weapon placed in building or in a non-combat area that has a psychological attraction for enemy soldiers. Triggering the device will kill or injure the victim.

2) Defination of a Fireman Access Panel :

ACCESS OPENING TO BUILDING FOR FIRE FIGHTING - FIRE CODE REGULATION 2007

4.2.3(a) Openings on the external wall for external fire fighting and rescue operation. Access openings shall include unobstructed external wall openings, windows, balcony doors, glazed wall panels or access panels. Windows, doors, wall panels or access panels must be readily openable from inside and outside, unless fitted with breakable glazing. Inside and outside of access openings shall be unobstructed at all times during the occupancy of the building.

Wonder what will happen if there's a real fire outbreak and the fire rescuer needs to access during the emergency? - Oh no! It's a trap!

 Comments

The Forbidden Kingdom - (Movie Review)

The Forbidden Kingdom

A great treat for all chinese martial-art lovers!

Never before, in a movie where you can catch a chance to watch the all-time kung-fu celebrity stars like Jackie Chan and Jet Li, contesting each other with their skillfull kicks and punches!

This English + Chinese movie, is a mystical epic adventure of an American boy from Boston, into the unknown world of unfamilliar cultures. Like A dream in a dream, he has to conquest obstacles unexplainable and of total mystery to him, for the sake of returning the magical wooden stick (a sort of weapon), known as the 'staff', that once belonged to the legendary Monkey King, who was cursed and turned into stone, by the Jade Warlord general during a fighting challenge. Only with the return of the staff to his hand, the Monkey King is able to free himself once again from the curse.

With amazingly beautiful backdrops of a "once-upon-a-time-in-china", it has brought audiences into an unkown kingdom through the gate of no gate, where he met a drunken kung-fu master, who saved him from the brutality of the warlords army.

From there, their relationships grew fonder, where they realised that both need each other's help to survive in this long and dangerous journey. Along the way, there came Golden Sparrow (Liu Yifei), a young & sweet chinese girl, who is seeking revenge for the death of her parents, murdered by the same evil general, Jade Warlord. A warrior princess herself, only she who knew the way to defeat the general warlord, is through piercing a specially made Jade Arrow cum 'hair-pin' into him. (Wow! That's creatively interesting!)

An additonal member added to the 3-men tribe, when a monk who suddenly crossed into their path and attempt to steal the 'staff' from the them. Unknowing that he also has the same objective to return the staff to the rightful owner, a fierceful kung-fu fighting scene has taken place in a temple betwen the drunken master (Jackie Chan) and the silent monk (Jet Li).

That has to be the best part of the movie where they both showcased the best of their fighting talents which kept audiences tight to their seats. Speeds, agility, endurance, flying kicks, fearsome punches and all things that relates to shaolin kung-fu.

However, I feel the overall story is just duplications and re-enactments of movies like the Karate Kid, The Drunken Master and the Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, which I could recalled watching similar storylines of those 3 movies. (Not very creative on that part). But, you can expect some comedy acting by Jackie Chan himself and a little bit of romance between the American boy and Golden Sparrow, which I think it was just to soften the whole mood. (No kissing scenes in this movie, so lower down your expectation.)

Though, the storyline is pretty simple (like other typical chinese swordfighting dramas), the cgi used for this movie was very good. Billiantly put together with the camera angles (esp. on the fighing scenes), I think its one of the best kung-fu movie ever made in hollywood that I've ever watched.

Taglines : The staff, Monkey King, Warlords, Gate of No Gate, prophecy, elixir (magic potion), immortal, 5 elements, Heavenly Palace, Jade Emperor, ancient china, warriors, bounty hunters

The Forbidden Kingdom - Movie Trailer

Directed by : Rob Minkoff
Main Casts : Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Liu Yifei, Collin Chou, Li Bingbing and Michael Angarano
Crystal Liu Yifei (Golden Sparrow)

I think Liu Yifei (Golden Sparrow), with her oriental features, is very sweet looking in this movie. Should watch her!

I give 3.5 out of 5 credits for the overall. You will never fall asleep!

ps : Appreciations to Kristina and friends for the great movie outing!

The Minister took the stand and gave the full account of what had actually happened to the terrorist, who escaped the so-called "tightly secured" detention cell.

My mind was wildly anticipating scenes like from the TV series 'Prison Break', where unexplainable modus operandi might have made the impossible escape possible.

All were dead silence when he finally revealed "the most crucial factor" for the escape. - The Window.

The taglines: "so simple as to appear silly and incredible", "found no evidence of convinance, collusion or assistance", "crept into the operating culture", "costly and painful wake-up call"

Where too many mouthful words were used, they finally concluded that the first blame has to be pointed to the small window in the toilet!

Due to the sensitive details of the investigation, they decided it was not possible to release the entire report without harming national interest and endangering the men and women who serve the nation. Only keen and valid interest were made public.

Seriously, I found it amusing. Amused not because of the incident, but the guts to stand with a straight face and preached lullaby hoping to lull the nation to sleep.

For the speech finale, the minister has thanked the public who offered their ideas and help to the Government, and also to those who wrote to him or blogged on the Internet expressing anger and in some cases, abuse.

"I understand their frustration" he added. (Wow! He reads blogs too?)

"I am deeply grateful for the way Singaporeans have rallied behind our efforts, even as they rightly expect a proper accounting. This is why I have given Members (of Parliament) and the public a full account of what happened, what we will do to fix the problem and ensure that the same problem does not happen again in the future."

Ironically this time, Bill Gates didn't get the blame for the "Windows" problem...hahaha!

Before elaborating further, go fix the windows first, ok?

(Case closed. Let's move on!)

El Orfanato - The Orphanage

¡Fui al cine, no sabiendo qué esperar mirar una película española y finalmente salí y darlo 5 posición de estrella! - How's that for my Spanish? *winks* Do I get 5 stars for it too? Heh!

A spanish film, which potrayed a supernatural story that took place in a residence which was once an orphanage.

Like any other kids, little Simon, has imaginary friends. They were not just any kind of ordinary imaginary beings, but were the long lost souls from the past. Laura, being a mother, never believes that imaginary friends exist. But this time, she gets to meet them. A great suspense drama which has a touching yet beautiful ending. (I shed some tears towards the end *sobs*)

Taglines : Treasure hunt, beach, caves, I have a friend and his name is Tomas, once you found make a wish and it will come true, basement, little house.

Not very much like any other horror movies, this paranormal drama is worth watching.

Language was definitely not a barrier for me (as it has english text) especially when a movie was very well-written and love how it has been directed.

Credits to director Juan Antonio Bayona and writter Sergio G.Sanchez.
